Ok thx for replying….I was able to record it now, after I had to set up my gear again…and I can say it’s definitely not the Gennet record with Josephine Beatty, at least not the same take. I’d say it’s not her at all, but I just so much fail to link it to Josephine Baker either, though there’s a hunch of frivolity in the singing which would fit Josephine Baker. I uploaded a sample of it, so maybe someone ‘really’ knows what this is. You can find it here :
