Could it be from a broadcast? Haven't heard that album in ages.

I was just playing the RCA Victor album "Show Biz - Vaude to Video" narrated
by George Jessell. Side two includes a snip of Ben Bernie's famous closing
theme song, "Au Revoir," complete with his chatter. This sounds much like
his 1941 Decca, but certainly sounds earlier. I don't find where ol' Ben
made any records for Victor after his duet with Phil Baker in 1918.
(Anybody want my copy?) So I'm curious as to what the source of this early
Bernie item might have been. It sure doesn't show up in the DAHR.

The album is on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF-SLQ8mGmU for
those who may be interested in hearing this mini goldmine of little nuggets.
