Dave,
It's a very good idea to bring up bands like Postmodern Jukebox here - 
we've been talking far too little about 78 era music being produced by 
modern bands.
Here's another band, one of several French units who continue both the 
gypsy jazz and swing and chanson tradition: Avalon Jazz Band. The 
singer, Tatiana Eva-Marie, is a also member of a band led by another 
virtuoso violinist, Duved Dunayevsky.
