Interesting. English Columbia also produced some 33s in the early 30s, for theatre use. All were dubs from 78s already in the catalogue..music by Ketelbey and other light stuff.

By these years (1933) our spanish Columbia was an independent affair fostered by an empresario from the basque country with arrangements signed in 1923 both with US and UK Columbia for production in Spain of the new laminated records.
Being far from the Great Depression, this Columbia also issued several records in a special format: 33 1/3 rpm standard groove 12” 78s with orchestral selections that lasted near 15-20 minutes per side.
