A  British 'car-boot sale' is where folks sell their unwanted stuff.

You transport your stuff in your car or van and set up your stall.

In reality these sales are flea-markets set up usually in a field or a car
park (parking lot), and folks take tables or a blanket on the ground to lay
out their stuff.
