Laurenz charted with My Happiness on August 7th and A Tree in the Meadow on
August 21st. No word about accompaniment. And his Hair of Gold charted
September 4th, Dick Maltby's Orchestra credited. Did Mercury sign with the AFM
early or did the alleged owners of the company make some bandleader an offer he
couldn't refuse? Capitol used Mexican accompaniment but I'm not aware of
Mercury doing this. Marlin Sisters didn't chart till July 24th, well after Jon
and Sondra (May 15) and Ella (June 19, with the Song Spinners).
