Danish jazz violinist Svend Asmussen has died, a few weeks before his 
101st birthday.
Svend Asmussen made his first recording in 1934 and his last in 2009. He 
played with
Fats Waller, Stéphane Grappelli, Ray Nance, Benny Goodman, Lionel 
Hampton, Duke Ellington, Toots Thielemans among many others.
