famous female jazz and popular vocalists.
All these ladies were born in 1917:

Ella Fitzgerald 25 April
Lena Horne 30 July
Jo Stafford 12 November
Dinah Shore 29 February or 1 March
Helen Forrest 12 April
Bea Wain 30 April
Vera Lynn 20 March

The last two will hopefully be able to celebrate themselves.
