The rumour I heard was that the message said, "I buried Paul", hinting that Paul had died, also the cover of Abbey Rd.shows Paul crossing the street in bare feet and that was also interpreted as an indication of Paul's demise, as it was a custom to be buried with no socks or shoes. Whatever the case, Paul is still with us.
