I have two of them and they're fairly dismal.  Sounds like transfers from worn LPs with no noise reduction.  Not near as bad as most of the Document product though.  I'd go for the Yazoo release or take a chance on a JSP if one exists.

George H. Buck's Black Swan label has issued Ma Rainey's Paramount sides on CD. Has anyone heard them to comment on the quality? Previous issues, even by respected remasterers, have been pretty rough.
