Quite a few sources confirm your beliefs on Van and Schenck, including this
from the Library of Congress....

These sources identify -
Hillpot as baritone......

I have just finished making a list of the common vocal ranges of US male
performers that recorded some Hawaiian or hapa haole material
(acoustically) from c. 1905 to c. 1926.

There are four men whose vocal ranges I cannot seem to locate:
Arthur Hall
Billy Hillpot
Harold Lambert
John Ryan
and two whose ranges I may have mixed up:
Gus Van (baritone, I believe)
  Joe Schenck (tenor, I believe)
Any help here greatly appreciated!
