Lord and Ruppli disagree on the recording date. Ruppli has November 25 instead of October 17. The November 25 date is consistent with recording dates of master numbers both preceding and following 1533, though.

One thing I miss about hard copies of discographies is the ability to make emendations on the page.

Hi Cliff,

According to Tom Lord's Jazz Discography, matrix 1533-4 was by Jesse Price and his Blues Band and was issued on Capitol 391. It was recorded in Los Angeles, October 17, 1946, with Red Nichols (cnt) Heinie Beau (cl,as) Dave Cavanaugh (ts) Chuck Gentry (bar) Tommy Linehan (p) Dave Barbour (g) Bill Davis (b) Nick Fatool (d) Jessie Price (vcl)
