[78-L] oyVey changed its speed listings and search/settings a few weeks ago

I think the people at eBay who do the software design/implementation/testing are extremely unqualified. I doubt anyone there actually USES the system, and they have NO idea what constitutes a quality user interface. They eliminated one
of the most powerful search functions - the wild card function. They also changed the number of watched items displayed from 200 (max) to 100, forcing the user to view
their searches across TWO pages rather than one. This means you can NOT easily find all the
watched items for a particular seller. The effect of this is I do NOT bid on some items
because it is not cost effective to purchase one item and incur a high shipping rate. If there were multiple items from a seller, I'd bid on them hoping to win more than one, thus reducing
the shipping cost per item. Ebay's idiocy reduces sellers potential sales, buyers ability
to obtain marginal items, and profits for eBay (since they don’t get their cut on non-sales).
They also have from time to time removed the SEARCH DESCRIPTION box from the search page, but
did restore it.
  Lots of other stupidity.....
And the so-called HELP is never helpful. They do not understand anything beyond the
most fundamental, simplest functions. And they provide NO means to escalate a problem.
Best wishes, Thomas.

That was new to me! I just went to my bookmark for e-bay 78s and, as you said, only 33s and 45s can now be searched for. I found it fun just to peruse the listings to see what was being offered but I haven't bought 78s from e-bay in years because everything was either ridiculously over priced or the e-snipers would step in at the last minute and trump my bid.

Many record search settings no longer include 78 rpm as an option. Has anyone else selling or buying noticed?

I wrote oyVey, but I doubt that they will do anything about this.

I would think that this hurts sellers sales because they can't list some items as 78 rpm and hurts buyers too.

My message to oyVey:

You recently changed your search and likely listing settings largly eliminating or obscuring the 78 rpm speed feature.Sharp decrease in listings, and for buyers generally impossibly large search results including other speeds/formats.Please change this back. Thank you.
