[78-L] Freddie Martin or Ed Kirkeby?

OK, Julian, here I am...just now checking today's emails.

It's late and I've become confused by the discussion here already! I have
the Loyd Rex with Rowland...in my mind I am sure it is not Martin although I
guess I should play it tomorrow to be 100% sure...but...I am sure I'd
remember if it were FM.

The Melotone of "Stormy Weather" b/w "Let's Call It A Day" as by Causer was
one of the first 78s I ever found which made me start to wonder about some
of the names which got slapped onto records. I'd already begun to have
doubts that the Plantation Players and the Yankee 10 just MIGHT not have
been real bands...the Melotone confused me because it sounded just like a
Brunswick I had by Mr. Martin.

That was about 1966 when I was 13...soon after I also discovered that
Chester Leighton was not a real person...it's terrible when one's illusions
are shattered at such a young age.

Julian and Kristjan...was there a second question as well?

Taylor
