Howdy, Rainer!

Here's a few ideas from a EUROPEAN point of view. Things that we do not have
over here, but that are part of the American lifestyle.

- Bullet Hole Shooting Complex, San Antonio. Really worth a visit.
Amazing to see proud fathers teach their 5 years olds to shoot handguns.
They also have armoured cars for shooting.
  www.bullethole.com (look up their website!)
To make things clear: I have never even touched a weapon, and never will.

- Check out this rodeo calendar:
  http://rodeosusa.com/rodeo/usa/texas/

- First Nations. I always get in touch with minorities on my trips, anywhere.
Has always been rewarding. Only three tribes and reservations in Texas, though:

And these two are not worth contacting. The Tigua tribe is almost completely
absorbed, and the Kickapoo have gone totally into the Casino business.

- Honky Tonk places I liked best, besides the Austin and San Antonio trails:
  Luckenbach, Texas (of course!) http://www.luckenbachtexas.com/
  Gruene, Texas (pronounced "green") http://www.gruenetexas.com/

Tip of the hat, pardner!

Benno
