[78-L] Scott Joplin on 78s?

As I recall, many of the Joplin piano rolls weren't the typical home
type QRS style, but a more sophisticated type that recorded the
force applied to the key, as well as the more pedestrian "on and
off", so it was almost an early form of MIDI.  Some music historians
have said that these rolls are a better historical record of Joplin's
playing than a 78 would be, because you can hear an actual piano
"as he played it."  I'm sure someone else here has more information
on this than I do.
