When I first joined ARSC, one of the first queries I posted was for any biographical information about Emile Coté.  When I first joined 78L several years ago I also posted the same query, but 78L being what 78L is, no information was forth coming but there was a long thread of responses discussing how you put an accent on an "e" on various computers.  (Also when I first joined 78L I got into an extensive argument with Michael Biel which got so vitriolic that it made me think I've got to avoid this guy; however when I finally met him I found him to be incredibly warm and knowledgable an we've had many prolonged discussions over the years.)

Anyway, back to Emile Coté.  Does anyone have any information about him?  Birth/Death dates, recording locations, etc.?  He was such a prolific conductor in the Victor arena that I can't believe nothing is known about him.  If you Google his name you only find mention of any of his records which are for sale.  Another obscure Victor artist is Lew White, Organist and conductor.  He must have been held in high regard because on records which include him, a choir, soloists and instrumentalists, his is the only name on the label.
