TOMMY DORSEY AND HIS ORCHESTRA
Studio #3, 155 E. 24th St., New York, 3 April 1936.
BS 99949-1 STAR DUST–Fox Trot - Vocal refrain by Edythe Wright "Process"; no 78 issue.
BS 99949-1A " " " " "HOLD"; no 78 issue.
BS 99949-2 " " " " "HOLD"; no 78 issue.
BS 99949-3 " " " " "HOLD"; no 78 issue.
BS 99949-4 " " " " "Process," "Special" wax.
Test pressing exists of BS 99949-4; it is -4, not -3, that's issued on Broadway LP BR-113. I have not yet heard RCA CD PD-89810, but would surely like to. At a guess, I would think it is BS 99949-1 on that disc (given that it and not -2 was Processed), if indeed it is an alternate take.
Studio #2, 155 E. 24th St., New York, 15 April 1936.
BS 99949-5 STAR DUST–Fox Trot - Vocal refrain by Edythe Wright "Process"; issued on Victor 25320-A.
(The full-band sides were recorded after the Clambake Seven sides on this date.)
There also exists a "Take 1R" test pressing, which is a dub of BS 99949-5.
Finally, for what it's worth...the original label reads "STAR DUST," not "Stardust" as one word. (Details, details...)
Take care,
