Great article, thanks, Dave.
I was entranced the first time I heard "Pick Poor Robin Clean" on one of 
the reissue LPs from the 1960s - could have been on RBF or Folkways, I'm 
not sure. Hah... found it! It's on OJL-6 "The Country Girls 1927 - 1935" 
along with some other great performances. I bought the record new and 
still have it.
I'd not heard "Skinny Leg Blues" before. I'd have suspected who it was 
by the guitar picking, though.
