I was thinking Waterman met Crudup in the '70s but you're right it was '68.

Dick Waterman. Waterman was on the pre-war/post-war blues list last I knew, but theoretically, Crudup might be off topic there these days. -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 3/20/14, Joe Scott <joenscott at mail.com> wrote: Subject: Re: [78-L] Rock & Roll rising (was: Escott, was Arnold Covey) To: "78-L Mail List" <78-l at klickitat.78online.com> Date: Thursday, March 20, 2014, 3:42 PM Presley reportedly financed Crudup's sessions for Fire. So the list of people doing anything for Crudup in the '60s would include Presley, Bobby Robinson, Bob Koester, and who else? Seems to me that a man known for giving away Cadillacs 'could have seen that Crudup got a few.' And on the topic of Crudup, there's a profile and video clips here: http://deeprootsmag.org/2013/09/13/there-goes-the-sun/ It's said within what I've read before, that Presley was involved with the Fire recordings Crudup made, but I'm not vouching for that one way or the other. If so, what does that have to do with Elvis?Joseph Scott ____________________ ___________________________ 78-L mailing list 78-L at klickitat.78online.com http://klickitat.78online.com/mailman/listinfo/78-l _______________________________________________ 78-L mailing list 78-L at klickitat.78online.com http://klickitat.78online.com/mailman/listinfo/78-l _______________________________________________ 78-L mailing list 78-L at klickitat.78online.com http://klickitat.78online.com/mailman/listinfo/78-l _______________________________________________ 78-L mailing list 78-L at klickitat.78online.com http://klickitat.78online.com/mailman/listinfo/78-l
