The interview where Elvis said Sam asked him if he wanted to make some blues and then they talked about records such as "Cool Disposition" was done in 1956 or 1957 for the British magazine Hit Parade, so that helps explain why Elvis could remember details. He also mentioned in that interview that he liked Bill Broonzy, and that he got scolded at home for listening to music like Broonzy and Crudup.
