[78-L] Wonder if it'll do 78s?

Well, what exactly are we looking at here?
Looks to me like a turntable playing an LP with a normal tone arm.
Maybe there is a record lathe over there in the blurry background, but is it in use?
I have a nice Rek-O-Kut lathe from the 40's that cuts both 33's and 78's!
