In reading the list these days I see that the state of 78 RPM record
collecting is rising to new heights, sometimes for reasons beyond, er,
reason. However, I did not anticipate a belated resurgence of Paul
Specht's late 20's career, not just because he has been unable to lift a
baton lo, these past 60 years.

Those Vivatonals have been in my sights for some time because my wife's
ancestor performs on them. To see them go for twenty and thirty dollars
was a stretch for my purse, but I have had success. But yesterday,
wasn't I surprised to find that my puny $10.00 bid lasted for about 30
seconds. The auction was nearly done and there were no other bids. I
checked back an hour later and found that two other bidders dropped
money bombs in just two bids, for a closing sale of $255.00.

This was for a V+ record!

I promise that I was not going to turn it into a popcorn bowl.

Cock a Doodle, is someone off his Noodle, or is it just because Spring
is Here??
