I believe any Shirley Temple recordings, whether 78's or other formats, were performances taken from the film soundtracks, i.e. she never made recordings specifically for record release. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the understanding I have, possibly gained from the notes to a Jasmine cd of Temple performances.

Even if you don't care about the early movies, The Bachelor And The Bobby Soxer with Cary Grant is on DVD and is worth a watch (although Almost A Bride with Niven isn't imo).

Shirley never made 78s, did she? Never one of my favorites, but when my sister was young you couldn't pry her away from the TV when one of Shirley's old movies was on. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/12/arts/shirley-temple-black-screen-star-dies-at-85.html?hpw&rref=movies&_r=1_______________________________________________ 78-L mailing list 78-L at klickitat.78online.com http://klickitat.78online.com/mailman/listinfo/78-l
