I have only ever seen the term refer to a style of music and I believe it has something to do with a certain manner of melodic phrasing.  Do all the discs have the same tempo or beat?? Or are they different?

Cheers

What does "vastrap" mean in context with a South African 78? Is it a dance or
musical form? Means "stand firm" in Afrikaans, I understand, but it's also a
site for nuclear testing and the name of an airstrip in the Kalahari. And it's
a word on the labels of this Gallotone 78 I'm about to list.
