[78-L] Leadbelly LP on Folkways question

Hi Roger,
  Thanks for the link.
Unfortunately, the Smithsonian CD notes do not answer the question.

If someone has 7533 (preferably the original issue), can you provide scans of the notes ????

The notes for 45047 show that all but 2 cuts [IRENE GOODNIGHT, and WE'RE IN THE SAME BOAT BROTHER] from 7533 (based on contents
list in worldcat) were reissued on the LP.
  *John Henry --
  *Boll weevil ; When a man's a long way from home --
  *Good morning blues --
*Everytime I feel the spirit ; They hung Him on the cross --
  *Swing low sweet chariot --
*By and by when the morning comes --
  *Rock Island line --
  *Julie Ann Johnson --
  *Christmas is coming --
*We're in the same boat brother.

They mention that some of the recording is from a broadcast, but I did not see any details.
Were IRENE and SAME BOAT in fact on the LP ???

The bulk of the CD is drawn from material already issued on Smithsonian-Folkways on the
Lead Belly Legacy, Last Sessions CD's, and 1 previously unissued broadcast recording.

Since Smithsonian Folkways does NOT list 7533 in the online database, the notes are
not accessible.

Thanks!
Happy New Year! Thomas.

Thomas,

http://media.smithsonianfolkways.org/liner_notes/smithsonian_folkways/SFW45047.pdf

The above link is to a pdf file of the notes for the CD release on the Smithsonian Folkways website. The notes are extensive and
state that the CD is a re-issue of the original record you have been discussing here plus some additional tracks. The information
you are looking for should be in these notes.
