He wasn't as harmonically sophisticated as he appeared to be. I'm not a 
musician nor a musicologist, so I have to rely on my feelings on this 
one and can't explain it in technical terms. Teddy Wilson made it sound 
as if the piano was playing itself, but with Hines you are aware of 
every turn of phrase he comes up with.
