I'm sorry, but even as a born Texan, I have to ask where all of these 
strange off-edge messages are coming from? O.K., Amazon is giving a lot of 
information away, and the list seems to have become  a home to some 
hard-core self-promoters, but has this been on this list before? O.K., 
William, I accept the apology for cross-posting. Hmm, perhaps too much 
apricot brandy before din-din.

Thank you very much to everyone who has completed the sound recording
collection surveys!

The surveys were originally closing tonight, but will be open for an
additional 48 hours.  They will now close on Wednesday, November 13th, at
midnight PST (UTC -8 hours).

The surveys are applicable to any collection of sound recordings,
regardless of the sound recordings' origin, format, subject matter, storage
method or location, audience, etc.  There are also no restrictions on where
respondents are located.  Responses from any geographical location are very
welcome.

If you or your institution/organization do not group recordings into
distinct collections, we encourage you to take the survey as well.  There
are applicable answer choices, and your responses will be very helpful.

If you have created or acquired recordings for a purpose other than
collecting, such as for commerce, genealogy, scientific research, or other
research, your responses are also very welcome.

For those that completed or started the surveys: If you have questions or
comments about the survey, or would like to discuss your response in more
