[78-L] The Nuisance of UP International Priority Mail & The Global Shipping Program

I have had NO problems with international postage from the USA to the UK. On the one occasion that a parcel was apparently not delivered I received a refund from the seller (IT was an Amazon item and not Ebay) I then paid the invoice again when the item eventually did arrive (Very Late but not teh senders fault)

I have severe issues with Ebay as a seller as I was banned due to late postage despite that being out of my control and excessive postage costs (£1 or $1.50 no matter how many negatives were bought) with no appeal, no recourse to returning as a seller and that was despite a 100% positive feedback after nearly 10 years selling.

Ebay is skewed in favour (mainly) of the buyer, but theie policies are draconian. Luckily I had a friend who let me use his dormant account to sell and I had lots of regular customers for my railway negs and slides that now buy from set price sales on my website - Ebay's loss!!

No point complaining - Ebay are not interested AT ALL - they still get their money!

 Jeff,

It seems you're pissing on USPS for issues that have nothing
to do with them actually delivering the package.  I've
used this service for 20 yrs. w/o issues that could not be
properly protected, including shipping to Africa & into
 Bosnia during the war.

Your problems seem to stem from working thru Ebay.
Sent your orders outside of Ebay, use the PO or U-Pic for
insurance & you won't have these problems.

 Just one man's opinion,

First Class Mail is a disaster. Almost everything is claimed
as not received and ebay immediatly takes the money for it
out of my account and I never see the item again. You will
never win a claim dispute if you use FC Mail. Even had one
buyer with the gall to give feedback how nice the item was
after stiffing me with the claim, so I know he got the item
and all his money back. Ebay does nothing about this and
never will. Now if a buyer was willing to make an
unassociated to the auction paypal back up payment to me
that I would return after the claim period is over then I
would do it, but funny how no buyer will ever agree to
 that.
