Once I had the alternate spelling of her name, I found her on the net and
listened to some of her recordings.  She was very talented.

My late friend Al Hendrickson used to work with her in the Hollywood
studios.I have some of her records.

Entirely possible that Lief is her real name, and that Leaf was less
confusing. 
Verlye Mills (harpist on many records and transcriptions) seems to be
spelled 
several different ways as well.
