[78-L] Historic Masters

I've not seen any news from Historic Masters for a long time - if it is Dead,
it was suicide. I think there are people interested in their releases, but IMO
they made it extremely difficult to purchase. They did not have a "shopping cart"
system on the website, nor any easy to find place to order an item. The last
set I purchased, I had to send payment (they did ultimately take paypal) to
an individual, not the organization. For anyone new to collecting, that is
an extreme turn-off...

I thought that the prices may have limited their potential sales, don't know
if it provided a profit, was break-even, or a loss made up by the supporters
of the enterprise. However, IIRC, the per disk price seemed in-line with the
many producers of new 180g vinyl LP's, either reissues of old albums or new.

The website did have a wealth of information about their releases, and that information
seemed to me to be the focus of the website. Marketing the new releases seemed
a footnote.

Does anyone know what, if any, of their releases are available, and
how to purchase?? Thanks.

Best wishes, Thomas.

First one has to join the list, but following the instructions at the ARSC
site I've done that, apparently with success. So unless and until the
server goes down and there's nobody at LOC to put it right, we're all set!
