It may sound pedestrian to you, but to people who listen to a lot of Blues records it's a masterpiece./ If you understand the subtlety of what he's doing and if you appreciate great Blues singing, this record is for you. Hell, to me a lot of Jazz 78 records sound pedestrian that are considered masterpieces. Same for any genre of music that I know little about. If it doesn't sound so good to you, wonderful--one less record that you may wish you might own someday but probably never would.
