Hi all! I'm about to begin a new treatment at Sloan Kettering in NYC.  I will be going to NYC once a week. I am going to be visiting my dad, Ike Salame, in Brooklyn every week after my hospital day.Dad has lost his sight completely now, so he isn't posting to the group or even playing his records much these days, unless he has visitors.He has trouble making calls on the telephone, but he can talk on it still(believe me, he can talk!).If anyone would like to get in touch with us, please feel free to email me or text/telephone me- this week I will be with Dad on Tuesday all day.my mobile # is +01-732-757-6608.You guys have been dear to my dad for all these years, and I am super grateful to all of you for the continued camaraderie in the group.For the past few years I have been saving my digest emails to read during chemotherapy- it reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad and I would spend time together, whether it was with guests at home going through his collections or meeting musicians who were visiting south Florida, or just record hunting- the guys would all talk and I learned so much, and Dad really loved having me with him- reading the group messages brings it all back and that is just the best feeling!
