I would ask
a) did they use the whole band, or were members selected or auditioned by their band director to participate
b) did they use the usual studio hanging clips for their music, the lyres on their instruments, music stands, or play from memory
c) if he remembers how the players were arranged in the studio, and who directed where they would be placed
d) if they did any kind of tests
e) how the studio environment felt
f) did he notice how many Edison staff were around
g) did the school get any pressings, or did the band members have a chance to buy them (there may still be one or two around if that were the case)
h) was it mentioned in his high school yearbook, or does he remember any local paper mentioning it
i) did anyone take a photo before or after
...there's so much...

Oh heavens -- what an opportunity; how it pans out well. PC

Subject: [78-L] Last alive to record an acoustical DD?

If all goes according to plan, tomorrow I will meet a 104 year old gentleman
who was part of the Drury High School Band which cut a Diamond Disc in 1924.
Am I correct in assuming that he may be the last person alive to record an
acoustic Edison disk? If you had the chance, what would you ask him?
