[78-L] Angel Records - EMI US, made in Canada 78rpm

I'm not near this stuff but I've had many Angel 78s on Canadian pressings. All 
vinyl, too. Piaf, Trenet, other artists. Canadian Columbia lost access to them 
after 1952 (but then got French material from Philips). Canadian Victor still 
had French HMV material till 1957. There was also a Canadian Pathe label in the 
40s, which may have been distributed only by Les Editions Archambault in 
Montreal, and not to be confused with Pathe that was part of Canadian 
Capitol-EMI in the 60s.

And to add to Dave Burnham's comment, Canadian Victor used the angel logo on 
private recordings from at least the early 20s into the 50s.
