How about the Brunswicks with master numbers?I have one:"Goin' Haywire" by the Hudson-DeLange Orchestra on Brunswick m8007 matrix no.m604.It was one of those I found back in early 1994 in Coos Bay,Oregon at the old Sunset Automatic Music Co-
mpany.I've told this story before:I found a batch of other unplayed 78s on OKeh,Vocalion,Victor.Columbia,Decca as well as a batch of Brunswicks that were not produced by Master Records.I used to have a Variety 78 by Barney Bigard years ago.I have never seen any extant copies of Master Records myself.

Since Master masters appeared on ARC labels within their regular catalog
numbering systems, after having had a brief existence on the Master and Variety
labels, I'd guess that it was to ensure royalties.
