Musicraft 1106 (on ebay), The Crests, Sweetest One, has a sticker "July 6, 1957" on it.
If issued 1960, this may be a reference to the orig. release date?
This first Crests record was recorded June 1957 and released on Joyce 103.
You can also see the reissue Musictone 106 on internet, dated as 1961.
(all from internet; I do not like doowop).

>>> Old Musicraft was not dead, just inactive.
MGM, Eli Oberstein and Mount Vernon Music LEASED portions of its catalog.
It started releasing 45's in 1960, some reissues from the '40's, some new material.
It also started a new pop label called Musicnote.

Noticed some 45rpm MUSICRAFT recording in an 1100 series (1102,1104, 1105,1106).
Most have "Musenterprise Productions" on the label.
Anyone have any information about this use of the label??? Date, range, etc. ???
The OLD Musicraft died about 1948, some 78 masters re-released by MGM.
Thanks, Thomas
