[78-L] V-disc battlefield reproducer

Not sure what to call this turntable, broadcast unit. Not home to check
make, model and the like. However, I have an all in one, I'm guessing WWII,
field record player. It has a sliding turntable, able to fit 10" to 16"
recordings. Without having seen another, I thought it must be how V-Discs
and the like were played in field conditions for soldiers.

Anyone know more?
