Horrible. Boxy. We added a bit of discreet reverb for the Living Era Classics 
issue a few years ago.

I'm surprised to hear you say that, I find the recording quite clear, lots of sibilance and the instruments seem well recorded.  For 1929 I think they did a good job.  Did you copy it from an American Decca or an English one?
