[78-L] very high price for a Berliner

I saw on you-know-where-bay an 1894 Berliner.

21 bids later, it solde for $1880.

I am wondering why this Berliner sold for so much more than the average 
Berliner.

Is it becasue it is a little earlier than others? 1894 is the earliest 
date I have ever seen for a 7".
