Just heard some sad news that Bob Brozman, a former member of R. Crumb's Cheap Suit Serenaders, has passed away at the age of 59. The news came from Robert Armstrong, another CSS alumnus. No cause has been mentioned. Brozman was well-known for using vintage National resonator guitars in his recordings of songs from the 1920s and '30s. He played blues, country, Hawaiian, ragtime, jazz, calypso, and Caribbean music. A modern eclectic. Loved his stuff.
