The following message has been posted by the Outreach Committee of the
Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC). If you have any

--- 2013 ARSC CONFERENCE: EARLY-REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING ---

The 47th annual ARSC Conference will be held May 15-18 at the Kansas City
Marriott Country Club Plaza. The University of Missouri-Kansas City will
host the conference.

April 23 is the deadline for discounted rates:

Full conference registration -- $160 for ARSC members, $185 for non-members,
$75 for student members, and $85 for non-member students.

Conference workshop registration -- $75 for ARSC members, $85 for
non-members, and $40 for student members.

Online (live-streaming) workshop registration -- $50 for ARSC members, $75
for non-members, and $35 for student members. (Deadline for online workshop
registration: May 10.)

To qualify for the discounted prices, your registration must be postmarked
by April 23. After that date, registration fees increase.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The hotel reservation deadline is April 23. Reservations made after this
date will be reserved only on a space-available basis, at the prevailing

FIRST PIG AND DIG AT MARR OPEN HOUSE

ARSC conference attendees are invited to a "Pig and Dig" Bar B Q and record
sale during the open house at the Miller Nichols Library, Thursday night
from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Gates Bar B Q and Boulevard Beer will be served.
Tours of the Marr Sound Archives, Music/Media Library, and Special
Collections will be given. There will also be a record sale of triplicate
LPs and 78s from the Marr Sound Archives (cash and check only).
