Have you tried giggle? A search on hacking dvd region codes gave a very easy hack for
my Philips model; thought I'd need it when I ordered some region 1 discs from Amazon.
Must be factory-hacked as 1's play fine, tho' when you ask it, the player tells you it's a 2.
Hacking BR looked more complicated, but possible. Tempted to get a cheap BR just to see if it's factory-hacked for them also.... Ah, the wonders of technology!
