I'm always trying to find photographs of cornetist/conductor Walter B. Rogers (1865-1939), who was Victor's staff conductor from 1904 to 1916, but images of him are immensely hard to find, other than a very few taken when he was with Sousa and his 1906 Victor catalogue photo. This image cropped up on a YouTube posting, and I think the seated figure is Rogers. Judging from Caruso's hairline and build, I think this was taken around 1913-14, and the image is obviously cropped. The two questions I have are, a) does anyone else think it's Rogers (or cares if it is besides me), and b) any guesses as to the original provenance of this image? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Philip Carli
