I have the rare advantage of having spent a few hours with Bill Rank who worked for Jean Goldkette - and beyond the Jean like Gene, I can't remember how he accented Goldkette, but methinks it depended on how he was using it, but most often with first syllable accented.

Doesn't somebody have a digital copy of the reel tape they passed around called "What's Left of Goldkette?"  I still have my copy but can't play it anymore.  It's 1/4 track at 1-7/8 ips

It was audio letters between Morehouse, Speigal Wilcox, Paul Mertz and Russ Morgan's son, maybe others.  As I recall the tape arrived at Morgan's home and was there when he died, so his son recorded a short bit and sent it on to the next one.

Ha! Should have said "Americanized". But how can a multisyllable work
not have an accent somewhere?
