I've never found either of the BG/Fitzgerald records to be especially
rare...more rare is the remake of "Goodnight, My Love" with Frances
Hunt.
I have some good Hunt vocals with Lopez and other bands, but once you've
heard Ella's version of GML, the Frances version just doesn't cut it.
But I can think of one person in our group who might not agree...

I guess I'm naive but I only learned this week that these two Benny Goodman
records with Ella Fitzgerald vocals from 1936 were pulled shortly after
release due to Ella being under contract with Decca. From what I can gather
they were pulled after about 3 weeks or so. So was curious just how many
really got out there if this could even be determined. Anyone know? I was
surprised to see I had them both so perhaps they aren't that rare or I just
got lucky. 25469 was never released again and 25461 was but without Ella's
sides.
