[78-L] Pricing info needed

The 78 record market is such a small one that it's almost impossible to
extrapolate from available sales figures what any particular record is
worth.

I've had many conversations with record auctioneers who all have told me
that they can never be sure what something is going to sell for and are
often surprised when something sells for a lot...or for very little.

Books, autographs, coins, fine art, etc. can be tracked a lot more
easily than can records...because there are more buyers and there's more
money involved.

In 2009 I saw a copy of the Reisman Victor of By A Waterfall b/w Honeymoon
Hotel sell on eBay for $330. Around that same time I bought a copy of the
Dewy Jackson Vocalion of She's Cryin' For Me for about $50.

These are extreme examples but illustrate my point that it's almost
impossible to get a handle on what 78s are worth.

In the end, it's just how much someone is willing to pay, and what someone
else is willing to sell for.
