Prob. a typo here.
Apparently Duke recorded a group of Duke plays his greatest hits, pres. for a 4x78 album, but it remained unissued at the time.
Valburn (Directory Ellington Recs) lists only 20-3291 as Victor(US) 78: Caravan / Sent. Mood.
These titles are in 45rpm RCA WPT-11, containing 27-0054-57:
27-0054 Prelude to a Kiss / Dont Mean a thing
27-0055 Caravan / Solitude
27-0056 Soph. Lady / I Let a song go out of my heart
27-0057 Black & Tan / In a Sent. Mood.
I assume this is the same as 10" LPT 1004 "Duke Ellington's Greatest".
Mood Indigo (27-0005) was in WPT 2.

When was 20-3291 issued?

>>> Okay, I was looking in Delaunay (don't have Lord) which didn't list those
tracks. 27-0056 is an early 50s issue, concurrent with the 45 I have..20-0054
would not be a regular 1945 issue..wonder what the story is on these?
