1) This ''eBay cencorship'' has been operational for about half a year. 

2) But now buyers and sellers can add pictures/scans as attachments to 
their email when they send the email through ''eBay messages'' via ''My eBay''.  
So, your seller is in fact able to send you a pic through the email messaging 
system if you ask him to do so.  

3) Avoid the @ sign followed by .com (or similar). As suggested by others, 
write, ''xyz - at - dot - com'' or ''xyz at .coom'' or whatever disguises an 
email addy.
