I forgot about Bob Gordon, but I don't think it was him. The music 
didn't sound "West Coast", but New York bop, like something recorded for 
labels such as Sittin' In.

The film is on YouTube. The music starts at about 28 minutes. There's a 
break in the music for the dialogue, then the music returns. Sorry, 
can't give you the link, but I can't get YouTube direct through Firefox.
